Today is my dad's 59th birthday. Crazy! That seems old to me but my dad doesn't seem old at all. He is such an amazing man. Extremely funny (and funnier still because he thinks he is so funny), sweet, wise and one of the Godliest men I know. And to watch him love on his grandaughters is to witness beauty. He adores them and they him. Joli is a bona fide momma's girl but that Grampie walks into a room and she is pointing at him with a huge smile on her face. The point quickly turns to both arms outstreched, excited to grab onto his neck and rest in his arms. It's the best! We're going out for a family dinner at Sammy's Pizza to celebrate.
Tonight is also our first church league basketball playoff game. It's an early game so all the wives and babies will go out and watch the boys play. YAY! And maybe dessert & Wii at our house or the Benney's afterwards :)
This morning the girls and I walked daddy to school. We just woke up, changed buns and brought our morning milk out on the road. I ran into my lovely personal trainer auntie Mimi last night at the grocery store and she challenged me to get outside and walk at least 20 minutes at least 4 days a week. Day one - check! It was a super way to start our day. Way better than Barney or Thomas!
A funny Nora story & photo to end today's post. The other night we were watching America's Funniest Home Videos. They are having a contest to send in videos of your best pig call. You know, Sooooooouuuuuuuuuuuu Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, like pig calls. Anyways, as the announcer in his cheesy announcer voice says, "So send us your best pig call...." Nora looks at me and puts her hand to her ear and says "Hi Pig" Heehee! That was her best "pig call" Pretty funny for a 2 year old.
This morning she tried on the fabulously tacky "halterkini" I bought her last night at TJ Maxx. It's for the hotel this weekend (more about that later) Anyways, she was doing some posing for the camera and I just had to upload some of the pics! She's soooooo stinkin' cute!
