Finders Keepers

Allen, the girls & I went out "saleing" early Friday morning. We were out the door by 7:15, had our Caribou Coffee caffeinated beverages & cash from the closest ATM by 7:30, and were ready to shop the first sale at 7:35!

I swear the best sales are not the ones that are advertised (though those can be excellent and I have always advertised any sales I've ever had) but the ones that you just happen upon. They always seem to have just what you might need, or something fantastic that you don't but get it anyways b/c it's so... fantastic!

I am not sure of my exact total this week - I know I spent too much on clothes for our girlies. Honestly I need to STOP, read STOP, buying them anything more! But 50 cents for brand new Gap sweaties?! Who couldn't use another pair at that price?! (Or two? Cause I bought two. A turquoise pair & a brown&pink pair) And since the clothes are already in piles ready to be laundered I won't take pics or give the complete rundown. If it was at a sale I was at, cute, clean, Gap or Gymboree, size 12 months - 2T, and decently priced I probably bought it. But here is a chronicle of what I scored!

$2.00 ~ Minnetonka Moccasions for Joliana. The toes are a little dirty but so are all the ones she already wears.

$1.00 or $2.00? ~ Darling pink three piece bikini (the skirt buttons onto the bottoms) for Nora. And I couldn't think of a better way to showcase it. Cutest two year old swimsuit model in the world!

$.50 ~ Sweet, soft Dora dolly for Joliana. Nora already has two Dora dolls due to the debacle of leaving Dora at church on a Sunday, sending Grandma back to find her, Grandma says Dora is not in the building, we buy new Dora at Target so bedtime is no longer disaster, walk into nursery the next Sunday to find old Dora laying on the floor, thus two Dora dolls!

$3.00 ~ A great pinky, greeny, yellowy braided rug for the girls room. Very Pottery Barn. It matches the sweet birdy bedding I bought many months ago for when they get a little older and are in twin beds.

$15.00 ~ Our deal of the week! A brand new (to us) toddler bed & mattress for Nora. It matches Joliana's crib exactly. We ended up using Nora's current crib mattress because it's a bit nicer. She loves it! When she woke up Saturday morning she said to me "I wake up my nice, new bed!" So sweet!

This is the first time I have ever linked my post to another blog but I've been reading this great blog, Finding My Feet (check it out - it's a fun one!), and I fell in love with the idea of posting my weekly finds. Hope you enjoy reading about all the recycled goodies I'm bringing into my house each week.

Wow!! I need to come with you sometime!! You got great deals! Addie was jealous of Dora doll when we looked at these pics :) And that bed is the exact one Addie has, just in white and we paid a lot more than $15.00- so GOOD WORK!!
