But on this day set aside for mothers I do miss my baby boy fiecerly. And my heart aches for my friends who have lost babies. Some of whom still do not have a little one this side of heaven to hold in their arms. I very specifically remember my first Mothers Day after Allen Michael's birth. I told Allen (the hubs) that I was the saddest kind of mother - a mother nonetheless but a mother without a baby. I am praying for those very special mommas today.

It was a nice Mother's Day. I woke up in the cities with my sister, (on her 1st Momma's Day - baby W. is only a little over a month away from it's due date!) my mom, & some of my most favorite aunts for coffee, rolls & chatting. We had to drive home, a long two hours, before I could see my girlies but as we pulled up to the front of our house both Nora & Joliana were standing at the front door, noses pressed to the screen, waiting for ME. How blessed I am that these lovely babies are MINE! Couldn't get better? Oh yea, it did! I got out of the car to the screams of "mamamamamamamamama" (Joli) and "my mommy! my mommy! my mommy is here!" (nora) The best sounds in the world! The was definitely present enough but my hubby got me a pink Nintendo DS! I talk about them all the time. I can't wait to have some time to actually play with it!
Happy Mother's Day!
