We sang this hymn at church on Sunday morning. Before we stood to sing, Pastor Duncan said that he wished the name of the hymn was "I Love The Story" because then he would be able to sing it honestly, but the name of the hymn would mean he loves to go out of his way to tell others, strangers the story. And this man, one of the Godliest, most respected, true to his convictions man that I know told us that when he sings this song he has to sing it as a prayer. It was so convicting to me and as I stood to sing, I too, sang this as a prayer...
I love to tell the story, 'twill be my theme in glory, to tell the old, old story of Jesus and his love.
